Vacay - Part 1

I woke up at 4:45 this morning and finished packing, dried and folded a load of laundry, packed the car and was ready to hit the road at about 5:30. Unfortunately, not everyone else was awake then :(

So, I piddled around and woke Ryan up at 5:45. Ryan had some last minute checks to write for Zaxby's that he had forgotten about and so he was in his office for a few minutes. I got the girls up and we put them in the van and off we went. We were out the door by 6:25...not too bad.

We drove for about 7 hours - to Jacksonville, FL and met up with my parents. They had driven down from GA and stopped and waited for us to get there because the drive to Jacksonville wasn't as far for them. We are so glad they did that because the girls really enjoyed the break and getting to see Nana, Grandad and Uncle Matt was really cool. We spent about 1 1/2 hours eating lunch at Chili's and then we were off again.
Mom & the girls outside of Chili's - stretching their legs!
The remaining trip was about a 4 1/2 hour drive. Not too bad considering how far we had come. But we made it! So thankful that 1/2 of the trip is behind us...now we can enjoy ourselves for a few days before we have to do it again.
