Last week we were thrilled to have Mimi and Papa (and Goldie and Iggy - their dogs) come stay with us for a few days! It was a special treat. We don't have much family visit during the holidays because we are usually the ones traveling, so it was really cool! They flew up on Wednesday afternoon and stayed until Saturday morning. We did some fun things, like shopping with Mimi, going to Avery's Christmas party at school, playing games, going out to eat and just hanging out. We all enjoyed the company and are very thankful that Mimi and Papa came to see us! Here are a few pictures of Avery and Mimi (I gladly stayed out of this project!) working on their gingerbread house. This was a great time for the two of them to spend together. Avery worked on that house for a good hour without stopping! Mimi was very patient and really good with her gingerbread house skills! I'll have to take lessons from her if I ever decide to attempt anything with gingerbread and icing again! :)
