Summer Days

I've got some catching up to do..

Here are some pics of a recent day trip we took to the beach with some friends. Our friend Marilyn invited us to the beach with her and some other friends. Her family owns a beach condo near Atlantic Beach and that was our meeting place.

We had a bunch of stuff with 5 moms and 12 kids. It was so fun! We dropped some stuff off at her condo and then went down to the beach to "set up shop". We had a little dilemma with our shade but we made it work with the help of a few willing strangers, who probably looked at all us women with pitty! :)

Little Luke was able to take a brief nap underneath it and the kids occasionally took a break from the sun too.

The kids played until they were all sanded out and maybe it was more until the "mom's" were ready to go. :)

We were able to go back to the condo and play at the pool for a little while after the beach. It was a nice change to just swim for awhile. Then we headed back to Marilyn's condo, gave the kiddo's baths and put them in their pj's. We ordered pizza and got the kids nice and stuffed and ready for the 1 1/2 hour trip home.  It was a fun day! And days like that, which make me so thankful for great friends, beautiful summer weather and living close enough to the beach, to visit on any particular day!
