Family of Four

I haven't officially posted about our new addition. Although, I am sure my faithful blog readers know what has happened in our lives in the past 2 weeks...we added a new member to our family. Our little angel Riley Kate was born on Tuesday, August 26 at 8:27 pm. She weighed in at 9 lbs 12.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long! We are so thrilled and blessed to have a healthy baby girl in our family. Everything has gone really well! It seems like I just blinked and the first 2 weeks have almost passed me by! I really am loving being a mom again and as much as I was scared of how it would be, it's 10 times better! Avery is doing amazing. She is the best little helper! I was a little worried that she might want to do things by herself but she quickly learned that she is not able to. So, she is just as happy helping in her own way. She loves to call her Riley Kate and give her kisses on the lips! We have had an adjusting period with her. It's just in the last 2 days that Avery has started to want to hold Riley more and to acknowledge her existence in the house! But I know it must be hard on her and we are trying to give her extra attention in any way we can. I'll post more pictures soon. I am like on picture overload in the past few weeks! I don't know what to do with all these pictures we've taken! It's so overwhelming! I need to hire someone to organize my photos and save them for me...any volunteers?
