DigiScrapbooking
So, I think I have given up on my "need" to scrapbook the "old school" way. As in "old school" I mean where you spend money on an album, paper, pictures and embellishments and the one book that you are forever working on ends up costing you way more than you ever expected! Don't get me wrong I love the crafty side of it, but I have to honest with myself. I don't want to make the time anymore. Honestly the last thing I want to do when I have a free minute is drag out all that stuff just to get one or 2 pages done in a hour and then put it all back away. Instead, I have discovered the new art of digiscrapping (that's the lingo) or digital scrapbooking. I am on my computer a lot, downloading pictures, videos, looking at other people's pictures and videos and then just plain surfing. So, while I am on this lovely machine I am going to be putting it to use. My pictures are all ready downloaded so I just have to insert them into a layout, type in a few words and voila before I know it, a whole album is completed! I just got a book I made about Avery's birthday today in the mail from Shutterfly. It was actually pretty cute. There are a few other sites I will try the next time and then I can decide who I like the best. I can also design my own layout and download that to an album. Pretty crafty - in a different kind of way! Just thought I would share my excitement!
Here's the link to view the album I made if you want to check it out.

I agree that scrapbooking takes way too much time, money, and space right now! I love making those books online. Avery's is so cute!!!
I did one of those for my parents for Christmas and it turned out great! We used snapfish. I was watching the today show one morning and they did a segment on these books and snapfish won their little competition. I think it's one of my mom's favorite gifts.
