This was our 1 year anniversary race - my how things have changed. Melissa actually ran the 10k this year and finished in under an hour! Way to go girl! Shelley ran the 5k at 13 weeks pregnant and did SUPER! I am so proud of her. I ran the 5k also and finished in 28:53 - which was almost 4 minutes faster than my time last year. It was a great race and we added a few more people to our crew this year.
Karen, Tammy & Karen also ran this year. It was fun having a group of friends there and pushing each other to our best! So proud of everyone!
They had a kids dash again this year and we let Avery and Riley run it. Avery took off when the whistle blew and finished way ahead of Riley. Riley was a little unsure of what she was doing but her Sissy was doing it so she wanted to participate too. It was sure enough the cutest thing I have seen in a while. She ran the entire way and swung her arms as hard as she could. She might actually be a good little runner one day. I love being able to do this with my kids. I love encouraging exercise with them this young and it's a great way for them to feel a sense of accomplishment. Way to go girls!

Congrats to you for such great accomplishments on running this year! You have been an inspiration to me. Thank you, my friend! What an inspiration you are to Avery and RK as well... They will always remember those fun memories while exercising AND having fun at the same time w/ Mommy! :)
