Sunday in Tucson
Ryan and I are in Arizona for our annual Zaxby's conference this week. This year we are staying at the Starr Pass Resort. It's really beautiful...in a desert kind of way! We got in to Tucson at about 1:30 am local time (which was 4:30 am our time). By the time we got settled it was around 2:00 am...and Ryan was up again at 7:00 to get his day started. Needless to say, we were both exhausted. Luckily I got to enjoy the rest of the morning sleeping in. Here are a few shots from our patio area off our room.

After Ryan's meetings today we drove over to Rancho Sahuarita (about 25 minutes) to visit our college friend Laura and her husband Dan. We had a really great time just "catching up" and chatting for a few hours. I can't even say how wonderful it was to see an "old friend" and to meet her husband. Laura and Dan are a great couple, we wish we lived closer to them! Here are a few pics from their backyard...the desert! Cool!

This evening we had dinner and entertainment. As usual the food was amazing! We had some Native American dancers for entertainment - really cool. We also had 2 telescopes on the lawn that we were able to view the moon (which was full) and Saturn! I was able to put my camera up to the telescope and take pictures, which I thought was really neat. Saturn is much farther away, so the picture of it was a lot smaller but you can see the rings around it! Ryan and I are posing with one of the telescopes (you can see the moon in the background).

We are enjoying ourselves but we miss our little Avery so much! Here is a pic of her the day we left! Mommy loves you munchkin!
