Avery has a new interest these days. She is taking after her GG (great grandmother) in her love of birds. We have 2 bird feeders outside our back door, right off our patio. We spend a lot of time sitting at the back door watching the birds eat and looking them up in our bird book. She even notices birds when we are driving in the car or on a walk. We love to be outside listening to them as well. When she is out back swinging she will get a big goofy grin and say "I hear it" "I hear birds". It's really neat. She will also say "Ohhhh, so cute!" when she sees them feeding. The other day we came home and looked out the back door. There was probably 15 birds around the feeder and on the ground! I tried to get my camera in time but I didn't make it. I am going to have to sit out there one day and wait for the birds to come to get some good shots. But this is what I took from inside. Not a lot but we got a few still sitting around. We've had a bit of variety in the past week too. Some cardinals, finches, golden finch, mourning doves and we think a bluejay. Avery is going to GA for a visit in a few weeks! She'll have a great time bird watching with GG!
